Dance Dance classes are high energy and will teach students the skill of following simple to complex choreography.  Classes will focus on teaching various dance techniques and movement with the goal of fully preparing students for auditions as dancers, in addition to being singers and actors, if desired.  Every week students will be taught dance combinations that will gradually build and repeated throughout the class(es).  A new dance combination will be taught each week.  Students will also be taught how to choreograph their own dance routines.  No previous dance experience is required.  Students are required to perform in the weekly showcase.

Music - A study of various American contributions to the world’s musical culture with an emphasis on understanding musical terminology and developing the ability to execute musical performances in the following genres: pop, rhythm & blues, country, jazz, gospel and blues.  Class includes elementary ear-training and sight-singing  and is designed to increase the understanding of music through emphasis on development of  accurate pitch, rhythm, meter, scales and chords. No previous musical experience is required.  Each week the student is required to perform in the weekly showcase.

Theatre/Drama - Theatre classes focus on developing acting skills that include character study, development and portrayal, physical movement and stage positioning, proper use of voice with an emphasis on vocal projection with control and proper diction, improvisation techniques, and occasional integration of singing and choreography.  Students will learn elements of theatre such as: structure, plot, dialogue, setting, theme and scene development.  Students will learn how to write, perform and critique monologues.  Classes also include learning various audition techniques.  Theatre games in improvisation are included to encourage and develop the actor’s ability to perform spontaneously and creatively.  No previous theatre/drama experience required.  Students learn while preparing for a weekly showcase where the student is required to perform a monologue approved by the instructor.
